The doctors are fantastic. But the front desk staff, IT, facilities, are not. The level of apathy is astounding, and their systemic incompetence is remarkable. It takes effort to be this bad at one’s job. I dream of ta day when we all can be paid to for being obtuse, unlikable, and still paid. Sadly, this echos beyond the front desk, IT, etc. and reflects on the providers.
I have really liked Dr. Brown the few times I’ve been to see him. I was just starting to feel comfortable. I had some tests and his assistant called me with results. He and I are both very surprised that Dr. Brown didn’t mention that he was leaving the practice in 2-weeks. This was very bad news for me as my condition takes a while to get a handle on. It’s not like I can jump from Dr. to Dr.
11/20/23 Update - No show fee was waived and I am now setup with appointment reminders. Quick to get back to me (couple hours later) and solve the problem.
11/20/23 Dr. Martinez-Ross - No phone call, text, email, or mail reminder for appointment they booked for a year out for yearly checkup. No phone call, text, email, or mail after it was missed they just send invoice for missed appointment. They can text me for payment but not a reminder for appointment.
If this $50 charge is dropped I will continue to use this office/doctor and update review. I'm now added to their reminder list. It seems crazy that's not automatic or confirmed before leaving the office. If not I will find another doctors office that can communicate with me better.
I have been seen here for years. The phone issues have gone from occasionally bad to incredibly bad all the time.
I called 3 times this morning when the office opened and had to hold just to be hung up on after a short wait. 3 times.
I called again and made an appointment this morning, but when I arrived, they had no record of the appointment and told me to leave and go to urgent care. When I tried to explain that my medical conditions are complex and that urgent care doesn't end well for me, they guilt tripped me, telling me how much they were moving their schedule around to accommodate me if I could wait for an hour in the waiting room. One woman with longer blonde hair was actually kind and caring about the situation, as was the woman in the hijab. Everyone else was defensive and cruel. I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask for any of this. The mean whispers that they think are quiet are not quiet. The way they acted like it was my mistake was unnecessary. I told them I didn't like being treated like I had done something wrong and they continued to be defensive and to tell me how much they were doing for me.
I'm writing this from the waiting room, waiting the hour they thought I should be grateful for. I'll update this review as needed.
I understand that they work hard, but this is not the way to treat patients! It's not the way to treat anyone! I would not recommend this clinic to anyone, even though Dr. Yarrish & Margaret Grogan have been a wonderful health care team for me over the past decade+. After this, I will be looking for a new primary care provider.
Update 30 minutes later: I'm still waiting, but another woman just came in for her appointment and was told that she was also wrong and that the appointment would be 2 hrs later. The patient insisted that she had called this morning and had been given this time because someone else had cancelled. They sent this patient away. Whatever is going on here, it's not just me.
Update 2: My appointment was at 9:30. It's 11:15 and I'm still in the waiting room. So much for my meeting at noon.
Update: it's been about a month and I am back for an appointment that was scheduled before my previous review. I just arrived, 20 minutes early, went to check in, and was told my appointment is on November 30th instead. No, it isn't. I called and confirmed multiple times to avoid this exact thing. I am overwhelmed with how inept the management is here. Don't come here. I rarely write negative reviews - I prefer to highlight what businesses do well - but this is outrageous and unacceptable. Anyone have recommendations for a good primary care that takes Cigna? I'm trying not to cry.
Doctors are great but front staff is very rude and unfriendly. I just called to try to make an appointment and spoke with someone named Ashley - she was incredibly unprofessional, unhelpful and impolite. Very disappointing.
I was seen yesterday and let me say that I have never ever been treated as horrible as I was by a provider. From the moment she walked in the room she showed terrible bedside manner! I was there to address an issue following the emergency room. Do you think she addressed my issue? Not at all! All she did was judge me and go off topic. I received no care! No referral! And was beyond neglected! All I want and still need are answers. I was honest, communicated well, and asked all the right answers. She was dismissive, unprofessional, and downplayed my physical symptoms. There is ethical obligation to provide care in emergent cases like mine. She must uphold medical responsibility, not to discriminate against patients! I feel harassed and victimized by this woman. Trust in an essential part of healthcare. This is medical negligence and malpractice treatment. She said she would call me today. It is 5 pm and they are now closed. Do you think she will call without me calling? Nope! I hope they see this and reach out. This a malpractice lawsuit.
Chronic phone issues. You call and call and no one ever answers you just get left on hold. I have reported the phone problem
to them multiple times and they fix it for a bit and then right back. Yesterday I called and waited on hold for so long I was able to have Birthday with my Sister, drive to St Marks, park and go inside and show the office manager that I still had an active call holding. There were I believe 7 women sitting in the front office but no one answering calls. Once again they said they will fix the problem.
And today at Granger Medical Wasatch 12-19-23. There is a sign on the restroom door. Sorry no toilet paper! What the hell?! A medical office and no toilet paper? Maybe you could borrow a roll of send someone to Costco! If you need to give a urine sample today at Granger Wasatch. Be sure to bring your own TP!
Everyone at the clinic is very nice. Joe is helpful and patient and listens well. Dr Brown is very kind and discusses my treatment plan with me.
